Systematics of the temperature - dependent interplane resistivity in Ba ( Fe 1 − x Mx ) 2 As 2 ( M = Co , Rh , Ni , and Pd )

چکیده
Temperature-dependent interplane resistivity ρc(T ) was measured systematically as a function of transitionmetal substitution in the iron-arsenide superconductors Ba(Fe1−xMx)2As2, M = Ni, Pd, Rh. The data are compared with the behavior found in Ba(Fe1−xCox)2As2, revealing resistive signatures of pseudogap. In all compounds we find resistivity crossover at a characteristic pseudogap temperature T ∗ from nonmetallic to metallic temperature dependence on cooling. Suppression of T ∗ proceeds very similarly in cases of Ni and Pd doping and much faster than in similar cases of Co and Rh doping. In cases of Co and Rh doping an additional minimum in the temperature-dependent ρc emerges for high dopings, when superconductivity is completely suppressed. These features are consistent with the existence of a charge gap covering part of the Fermi surface. The part of the Fermi surface affected by this gap is notably larger for Niand Pd-doped compositions than in Coand Rh-doped compounds.

Structure and Magnetic Properties of Oxide Nanoparticles of Fe-Co-Ni Synthesized by Co-Precipitation Method
Oxide nanoparticles of Fe-Co-Ni were prepared in six different compositions by co-precipitation method. The as-synthesized nanoparticles were characterized by X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Field Emission Scanning Electron microscope (FESEM), Fourier Transform Infrared (FT-IR) and Vibrating Sample Magnetometer (VSM). It was found that the nanoparticles had mean crystalline size of 30-55 nm and spher...
متن کاملDependence of carrier doping on the impurity potential in transition-metal-substituted FeAs-based superconductors.
In order to examine to what extent the rigid-band-like electron doping scenario is applicable to the transition metal-substituted Fe-based superconductors, we have performed angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy studies of Ba(Fe(1-x)Ni(x))(2)As(2) (Ni-122) and Ba(Fe(1-x)Cu(x))(2)As(2) (Cu-122), and compared the results with Ba(Fe(1-x)Co(x))(2)As(2) (Co-122). We find that Ni 3d-derived featu...

Magnetic and Electrical Resistivity Study of Electroless Amorphous Ternary System (Ni-Co-P) show a qualitative dependence of crystalline phases formed during transformation on the annealing temperature and composition. Electrical Resistivity values increases with increase in cobalt content and samples with higher resistivity show lower temperature coefficients. The Initial increase in magnetiza...
متن کاملMagnetic Properties and Structural Study of Ni-Co/Cu Multilayers Prepared by Electrodeposition Method
Ni-Co/Cu multilayers have been grown by electrodeposition method from a single electrolyte (based on Ni(SO4).6H2O, Co(SO4).7H2O, Cu(SO4) and H3BO3) using galvanostatic control on titanium sublayers. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns confirmed the multilayered structure with the nanometer thicknesses. Also, electron diffraction x-ray (EDX) analysis confirmed the purity of deposited samples. ...
متن کاملAnisotropy of the in-plane resistivity of underdoped Ba(Fe(1-x)Co(x))2As2 superconductors induced by impurity scattering in the antiferromagnetic orthorhombic phase.
We investigated the in-plane resistivity anisotropy for underdoped Ba(Fe(1-x)Co(x))(2)As(2) single crystals with improved quality. We demonstrate that the anisotropy in resistivity in the magnetostructural ordered phase arises from the anisotropy in the residual component which increases in proportion to the Co concentration x. This gives evidence that the anisotropy originates from the impurit...
